2. Mr. Coffee DRX5

Mr. Coffee DRX5 4-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker

The Mr. Coffee DRX5 is a relative small drip coffeemaker with a capacity of only 4 cups, but it has plenty of features most coffee lovers would like. The programmable function allows you to prepare and set the maker to start brewing at a certain time, 24 hours ahead. Perfect if you like your coffee to be ready and waiting for you as you step into the kitchen in the morning. Another feature you would definitely like is the “pause ‘n serve” which allows you to have a cup before the full pot is finished brewing. If you are trying to avoid Bisphenol A, I can reassure you that this coffeemaker is completely BPA-free.

Best-selling espresso machines

1.     De’Longhi EC155

De'Longhi EC155 Espresso and Cappuccino Maker

The De’Longhi EC155 espresso and cappuccino maker is an entry level machine, but it still can make great espressos, cappuccinos and lattes. What I think makes this coffee machine worth a closer look is the 15 bar pump and the stainless steel boiler. A pump driven espresso machine generally makes better and thicker crema which is vital for an espresso shot. The two separate thermostats allow you to quickly switch between brewing and frothing milk. Also have a look at the De’Longhi BAR32 Retro as well if you are interested in this.

2.     Mr. Coffee ECM160

Mr.Coffee ECM160 4 cup steam espresso machine

What makes the Mr. Coffee ECM160 special is that it allows you to brew 4 cups (20oz.) of espresso in one carafe. This makes it perfect if you have guest and want to serve them a cup of your best cappuccino or latte. On the other hand, if you love espresso shots you might want to look elsewhere. Since this machine is steam driven it won’t create a thick foamy layer of crema which at least I think is vital for a shot of espresso. This machine has an excellent steaming wand that will turn your milk into thick delicious froth in no time.

3.     De’Longhi BAR32 Retro

De'Longhi BAR32 Retro 15 BAR Pump Espresso and Cappuccino Maker

De’Longhi BAR32 Retro is very similar to the De’Longhi EC155. Both are pump driven, two separate thermostats and have a stainless steel boiler to ensure their longevity. Honestly I struggle to find any difference with these machines and both make great espresso shots and cappuccinos. For me it all comes down to which one you think look the best.

Some of the features are clearly there to help first time user, like the mug sensor and the pictorial instructions permanent printed on the machine. Keurig B40 Elite Brewing System

The last, but not least, is the Keurig B40 Elite. The 1500 watt heating element makes this machine very fast and efficient. The B40 Elite doesn’t have a fancy LCD display as the K60/K65, but it is still very user-friendly. Choose between two different brew-sizes with a push of a button. This brewer is also completely BPA-free and it uses of course the K-cups as all Keurig single serve brewers.
