he Krups F203 is a neat electric blade grinder, but packs a punch. The housing is made of shiny black plastic. While the lid is made of clear plastic so you can see what you grind to determine if it has the right consistency.

I am very happy with the building quality of this product. After using it every day for over 6 months I have not had any issues and it still looks like it is brand new.

Krups 203 whole coffee beansVersatile and easy to use

You can grind about anything in the Krups 203, in addition to coffee beans it works well with herbs, spices and nuts as well. Just add whatever you want to grind up, place the lid back on. Make sure the lid snaps into place with an audible click and you are good to go. Press the button and the grinder starts to grind.

The easiest way to get the content out of the grinder without spilling is to turn the grinder upside down, with the lid on of course. Give it a few knocks and the content will fall into the lid. Remove the lid and pour the content out.

Be aware that if you grind spices and herbs in your grinder you need to clean it properly before grinder coffee. I now only use my grinder for coffee after I had a “spicy” cup of coffee.

The capacity is enough to grind coffee beans for up to 12 cups which should be enough for most needs.

Krups 203 Ground coffee ready to useGrinding

The Krups 203 has an oval design that ensures that the coffee is grind to a very fine and even consistency.

Since there is only an on/off switch you have to manually control how fine or coarse you want to grind the beans. To get a fine grind, for example for an espresso shot, I grind the beans up to 15 seconds. While for a coarse grind I only grind the beans for a few seconds. This is something you have to figure out by trial and error.

Like all blade grinders it produces some coffee dust. This is not a big problem if you use paper filters, but if you are using permanent filter you will most likely get the fine dust in your coffee.

The Krups 203 is a great blade grinder that will meet most people’s needs. It is simple to use, but requires some trial and error to figure out how much you should grind the beans. If you use permanent filters you might want to invest in a burr grinder instead due to the dust it produces. This is a problem all blade grinders have.

If you want a cheap, durable and versatile grinder, this is it! The Krups 203 has been the best-selling grinder on for a while now and has received great reviews. You can check it out here.
